Mike Got Spiked plan Irish tour
Maybe they just missed the weather, but Irish ex-pats Mike Got Spiked will be returning home from the US for a island-wide tour this summer.
The Dublin-based rockers left Ireland in 2006 and have spent the last year in the US touring their debut album Caveat Emptor, which helped them land a spot on the Canadian leg of the Vans Warped Tour.
They return for an Irish tour which kicks off on June 23 at the INF in Down, and continues on to the Shebeen in Monaghan (July 7); Danny Byrne’s, Westmeath (13); The Central, Leitrim (14); Spirit Store, Dundalk (19); venue tbc, Co. Down (21); Fibber Magee's, Dublin (27); Knockan Stockan Festival, Wicklow (28); Crawdaddy, Dublin (August 3), venue tbc, Carlow (4);Cyprus Avenue, Cork (7).
And there's no rest for the wicked - a second album is said to be in the works in the intervening dates, after which they'll head to back to the US.
