Marketa Irglova announces Irish tour
The Oscar winner will play three dates this November with Sean Rowe as support.
Marketa will play the Pepper Canister Church in Dublin on November 3, Triskel Christchurch Cork on November 4 and St Nicholas Church Galway on November 5.
The gigs coincide with the release of Marketa’s debut solo album Anar on October 7. The album includes influences from R&B and the likes of Otis Redding, Nick Cave.
Only three years, Marketa caused a stir by winning an Academy Award for her song ‘Falling Slowly’ which featured on the soundtrack for the film Once.
Tickets are €18 and €20 plus concession from Ticketmaster for the Pepper Canister, €15 and €18 for Triskel Christchurch Cork from www.triskelartcentre.ie, and €15 and €18 from www.roisindubh.net for St Nicholas Church.
