Labrinth announces album Cosmic Opera Act II
Accompanied by a single 'SHUT YOUR DAMN 95.7892,' the album follows Cosmic Opera Act I released in January.
Labrinth has announced Cosmic Opera Act II, out May 29. The album follows Cosmic Opera Act I , which was released in January.
He also shared the lead single from the upcoming project. Titled 'SHUT YOUR DAMN 95.7892,' the song starts with words: "I speak to the spirits and the spirits tell you to shut your damn mouth."
Fresh from his Coachella performance earlier this month, the multiple Grammy nominee also announced his seven-city U.S. run, set for July. Including both headline club shows and a series of orchestral nights, the tour will feature musical accompaniment from multiple American symphony orchestras.
Known for his contributions to the Euphoria soundtrack, the British singer was initially expected to return on the series' season three score, before he confirmed earlier this month that he pulled his music and is not involved anymore. This year, the show saw Hans Zimmer compose all the songs.
Labrinth got his start in the industry after signing to Simon Cowell's record label Syco Music in 2010. He initially collaborated with English rapper Tinie Tempah, featuring on 'Pass Out' and 'Frisky', before debuting with his first solo track 'Let the Sun Shine'.
He has released a total of four studio albums, with Cosmic Opera Act I being the latest. Hot Press' Will Russell reviewed the record in January. Check it out here.
