Lucinda Williams announces Vicar Street gig
The legendary blues musician will return to her roots on her latest album.
Lucinda Williams will play a show at Vicar Street on 14th August. The tour will follow the release of Williams' new album Good Souls, Better Angels, which is due for release on 24th April.
"It's all come full circle, says Williams of the new music. The Louisiana born artist will return to the blues foundation she was so inspired by as a young singer-songwriter. "I've always loved the imagery in Robert Johnson songs and those really dark Delta blues that are sort of biblical," she says. "I was inspired by Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan and Nick Cave".
Williams has won three Grammy awards and recorded fourteen legendary albums.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday, 21st February.
