LISTEN: Northern Irish singer Rhea Melvin teams up with M-22 on 'Gravity'
British/German duo M-22 (Matt James and Frank Sanders) who produce records and remixes, performing mostly in Ibiza.
Northern Ireland's Rhea Melvin has teamed up with dance duo M-22 on their new single 'Gravity', out now via EMI Records.
The track marks M-22’s first single of 2021, featuring the perfect uplifting, optimistic sound for summer. Swirling disco strings, an iconic piano riff and Rhea Melvin's fresh vocal combine with M-22's trademark house beat for an anthemic result.
M-22 have been instrumental in the growing music scene in and around Blackpool - the duo’s UK base. They discovered and produced hit records for local breakthrough artist and acclaimed vocalist Tom Gregory, championing an exciting music scene around them despite their base away from London.
No strangers to hit singles, M-22 released ‘Think About Us’ (feat. Lorne) at the end of 2020, which helped put the duo at over 350 million streams across all platforms to date. Utilising the soulful vibe of 90s house for the purpose of making electronic-pop music is the name of the game for the pair.
Previous singles 'First Time' (feat. Medina) - a big hit for the duo with over 150 million streams - 'After Hours' and Billboard Dance Chart Top 5 track 'White Lies' — are set to dominate global dancefloors after the pandemic.
The warmth and expressiveness of the duo’s music has also proved irresistible to other artists. Matt and Frank being drafted in on remix duties for the likes of Avicii, Marshmello, Axwell & Ingrosso, Sam Feldt, Katy Perry, Anne-Marie, Little Mix and Clean Bandit, to name a few.
