Young has teamed up with his iconic backing band once again.
It's been nearly a decade in the waiting, but Neil Young has rounded up his old Crazy Horse cohorts for an album. The definitively-titled Americana (notably the first record to feature the complete Crazy Horse lineup since '96's Broken Arrow), is set for release on June 4.
The video for single number one, entitled 'Oh Susannah', is available to watch below as of now. The record as a whole will comprise of new versions of American folk songs, including the likes of 'She'll Be Comin' Round The Mountain' and 'Clementine'.
"They represent an America that may no longer exist," Young says of the selections.
While it's slightly disappointing that his long-time collaborators won't get to sink their teeth into new Neil material, especially given the quality of the writing on '10's Le Noise, we're sure they'll twist the old standards into new strange shapes and make them their own.
