Almost four years on from her last long-playing release and a frankly terrifying 11 since 'Milkshake' devoured the pop world, Kelis is ready to re-enter the scene.

FOOD, slated for release through Ninja Tune on April 22, will be her sixth studio album and is set to eschew the electronic flavour of 2010's Flesh Tone in favour of a full band sound. A retor, brassy affair, the singer herself calls it "a kind of unspoken lovefest".
