After a punk-rock detour, Oberst goes back to basics on his new album. You can stream it here on NPR.org.
Recorded in Nashville Upside Down Mountain see's Oberst returns to a layered folk sound, somewhere between Bright Eye's I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning and 2007's Cassadaga.
Oberst plays Dublin this July as part of this year's Longitude festival. He will join the likes of Massive Attack, James Vincent McMorrow, First Aid Kit and We Cut Corners in Marlay Park on Sunday July 20th.
