Everything Pharrell Williams touches has been turning to gold in recent years, whether writing for others ('Blurred Lines') or going solo ('Happy'), but the man with the Midas pop touch hasn't gotten so big for his boots that he's forgotten his own friends.
Four years on from the release of their last album, Nothing, NERD are back once again and have just dropped a brand new song. It follows Williams joining Chad Hugo and Shay Haley on stage in November. When most of us get together with old pals over the festive period, we usually don't release a song set to appear on the upcoming The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water soundtrack, but that's just what NERD have done. As you can imagine given the film it's intended for, it's a cheerful number in the vein of 'Happy', with Hugo comparing it to the work The Beatles did for Yellow Submarine. It officially drops January 2.
