Lisa Hannigan receives Number 1 Award

In honour of her second solo album, the beautiful Passenger, hitting the top spot on the Irish Album Chart earlier this year, Lisa Hannigan became the latest recipient of the IMRO Number 1 Award today.

Passenger, the follow-up to the Mercury and Choice Music Prize-nominated Sea Sew, reached the summit on its first week of release in October. Since then, the Meath songstress has been touring North America and Australia. Lisa and her band have returned to Dublin for December, and will take part in the Mixed Tape NYE Party 2011 at Vicar Street.
