LadyFest for Dublin
LadyFest, a not-for-profit cultural festival celebrating women's achievements, will takes place in Dublin this November
Dublin's Hub and The Mezz are the twin venues as Dublin plays host to the LadyFest from November 12 to 14.
A "not-for-profit arts festival that celebrates the creative and artistic achievements of women", the weekender features a wide range of gigs, club nights, films and workshops.
Since debuting in Olympia, Washington in 1990 there have been more than fifty LadyFests in different parts of the world.
"It's part of a new movement that's redefining female empowerment through the arts," says a spokesperson. "It's a coming-together of feminists of all kinds, all of whom share a common goal – to inspire girls and women of all ages to discover and contribute their artistic voices to their communities. And to have a lot of fun doing it!"
