Kneecap criticise London Met Police for ordering the removal of protesters outside court
Tomorrow will be Mo Chara's third court appearance since the trial began in May.
Kneecap has criticised the London Metropolitan Police for their banning against protesters gathered outside of Liam Óg Ó hAnnaidh's last two court hearings.
This order enforces that all protesters must be removed from the surroundings of the court by tomorrow, September 26. This order is known as Section 14 and is associated with the subject of rioting.
Ó hAnnaidh, better known as Mo Chara, is currently on trial for allegedly displaying a flag in support of Hezbollah, a proscribed terrorist organisation in the UK.
Kneecap claim the flag was thrown on stage by a member of the audience.
Ó hAnnaidh is currently facing charges for terror offenses.
Kneecap were also recently barred from Canada due to the terror allegations, as Canadian officials claimed Kneecap "made statements that are contrary to Canadian values".
Earlier in the week, Kneecap had asked fans to gather outside the courthouse, as crowds of people congregated in support.
The claim regarding the Section 14 order was posted by Kneecap earlier today.
In their caption, Kneecap wrote: “In our view this police action is designed to try and portray support for kneecap as somehow troublesome, and to keep our support far away view when we arrive and depart".
The group is often critiqued for their outspokenness on world problems, most notably for their vocality regarding the genocide in Palestine.
