Girls Against Boys: “Kill The Sexplayer” (Touch And Go Records)

Not perhaps the best ever tune by G.A.B. ‘Kill The Sexplayer’, apart from punning on the sexual symbolism of the saxophone and its blower, also sounds very reminiscent of the God-like Genius of The Fall’s Mark E. Smith but that said, G.A.B’s simulation of Manchester’s finest pales by comparison to Smith’s impassioned crankiness. A heavy duty number, nonetheless.
