Kelly Jones leaves the rest of the Stereophonics at home on March 30 when he plays a solo gig in Dublin’s Vicar St.
Pride of place will go to Only The Names Have Been Changed, his debut solo album which is number one this week on iTunes and receives a physical release on March 26.
Jones was unzipped rather than unplugged earlier this week when he was issued with an £80 on-the-spot fine for urinating in public.
The illicit pee occurred shortly after the singer had concluded a drinking session in the London Barfly.
“I said to the copper, ‘You telling me you never had a piss in the street?” he tells a UK tabloid. “He said that the people of Camden wouldn’t appreciate me urinating on their streets. I said, ‘I know that. That’s why I live in Fulham.’ He said, ‘I’m taking you in.’”
