Junah scoop the much coveted 101st slot at HWCH
The folk rock band have landed themselves a highly sought after slot at this years Hard Working Class Heroes festival, after winning the recent Bulmers Berry 'Band 101' competition.
Junah's 1,094 votes on a Facebook poll made them the clear winners of the competition, showing that it really is all about the fans.
Angela Dorgan of HWCH spoke highly of the new addition to the line-up. “Having a cut off point of 100 is sometimes incredibly challenging because sometimes there's only one or two points between those who get a slot and those who don't. With the help of Bulmers Berry fans, an act will get a second chance to participate in the most prestigious showcase in the country. How brilliant if the fan's pick, band 101, turn out to be one of the big successes of HWCH 2010!”
Junah will ignite the stage at Sweeneys - Dame Street on Saturday October 9 at 11pm, and the lads are also playing an acoustic set at Dublin's Designer Mart earlier that day at 1pm.
