If you're a Josh Ritter fan, it will no doubt be music to your ears to hear that the popular singer-songwriter is auctioning off two of his much beloved acoustic guitars for worthy causes.
Josh Ritter took to Facebook last night (14 March) to announce that he's putting up his two "trusted warhorses" as he calls his beloved guitars - 'Sunburst' and 'Goldie' - to raise much needed money for ACLU Nationwide and Planned Parenthood.
It's a great chance to own a brilliant piece of unique music memorabilia because, as Josh points out on his post, he's written some of his most popular tunes on these two guitars.
"I own two acoustic guitars (Sunburst and Goldie). They have been around the world with me for over a decade. They are battered and worn. There is blood on them from moments of abandon. They have been sweated over, spilled on, thrashed and repaired (sometimes badly). I have written every song I have written in that time on them, from 'Change of Time' to 'Henrietta, Indiana'," the American singer-songwriter wrote in his Facebook post.
"They are my trusted warhorses, my cherished friends. Now, the time has come to turn them to better use. I have decided to auction both in order to support causes that I believe are integral to the fight for Love in this troubled nation of ours. The money raised from the proceeds of these auctions will go to the ACLU Nationwide & Planned Parenthood."
