James Blake announces new albumTrying Times

James Blake is set to release his new album,Trying Times, on March 13. The album marks his first independent studio album since departing from Republic Records to join Good Boy Records. The album features collaborations with British rapper Dave and American vocalist Monica Martin.

Blake’s newly released single ‘Death of Love’ is accompanied by a live music video, featuring the London Welsh Male Voice Choir.

The English singer recently began teasing new music earlier this month, hinting at the upcoming album with an Instagram post. The photo, showing him in a recording studio, was captioned with the lyric "I think we might be sleeping" from his new song 'Death of Love'.

James Blake's new album is his first since 2023's Grammy-winning Playing Robots Into Heaven. He also released the collaborative album Bad Cameo with Lil Yachty and the CMYK 002 EP in 2024. His most recent work includes collaborations with Ludwig Göransson on the Grammy-award nominated film Sinners.
