The performer and producer follows in the footsteps of Adele, Ellie Goulding and Haim
Jack Garratt has been named the BBC Sound of 2016.
The annual poll has previously tipped the likes of Adele, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Sam Smith and Haim for success, and the English producer, whose debut album Phase arrives on February 19, beat out the likes of Rat Boy and Blossoms to land this year's crown.
It follows Garratt's recent Brits Critics' Choice Award - another reliable sign of big things to come.
The songwriter and producer was seen in these parts supporting Mumford & Sons last month - and he'll be back in The Academy on March 30, for Irish fans to see just what the fuss is all about.
