With its gently picked guitars and sweet, uplifting melody, Jamie Lawson’s latest offering calls on the Travis/Frames/Jeff Buckley school of acousticism. Luckily for him, well crafted songs divert the ear from an inherent lack of originality, while the B side – a slow, plaintive cover of ‘Blame It On The Boogie’ – adds a little tongue in cheek humour.
