As the temperature's soar, Alice Cooper's favourite Irish rockers Skyfever unveil their brand new track 'Sunny Days' just in time for the arrival of the beautiful weather.
This is the second single released from the band's EP Rear View Mirror and is a laid back, hazy song that evokes the Californian summer that inspired it.
Guitarist Tyson Harding explains the process behind writing the Summery tune. “I wrote Sunny Days when I was on my honeymoon in California. We were driving down Highway 1 and we stopped at a small beach city called Carmel-by-the-Sea."
"We visited a little vintage guitar shop and I was drawn to this particular guitar: a 1956 Martin. I didn’t bring my own with me so I was aching to play something! I picked up the Martin and started playing - Sunny Days was written there and then. The melody and the lyrics just came to me. Even now when I play it with Skyfever it brings back memories of those blissful days under the Californian sun.”
Last year saw the Irish rockers break through in a big way, with their music being selected for play by George Sephton at Anfield and by the Carolina Panthers to fill the 75,000 seater Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.
