The Papenfus brothers return to the fold with a plaintive piece of moody acoustica. “You hide yourself so you don’t shine,” observes Ken of an everyman caught up in the suburban rat race. “You break your back in the daily grind/These are the hard days.” Reminiscent of the Ken Livingstone-narrated adult lullaby ‘Ernold Same’ from Blur’s forgotten masterwork The Great Escape, this is an acutely observed vignette of the sturm und drang of inner city life.
