IMRO Live Music Venue of the Year Awards
The O2 got the main Hot Press nod, now take a look at the other big winners.
As revealed last night, The O2 was named as the Hot Press Live Music Venue Of The Year at a special ceremony in Dublin, with editor Niall Stokes commenting: ""The O2 is a world class arena. It is the kind of venue that people can travel to from anywhere in Europe, or indeed the world, confident in the knowledge that they are going to experience the very best in terms of production and sound."
It wasn't, however, the only fine spot honoured at the show. Venues from each of the four provinces of Ireland were presented with deserved awards, serving to highlight the healthy state of live music in this country in spite of the current climate.
