Imelda May announces Cork date

Rockabilly gal Imelda May will head to Cork next year for a performance at The Marquee on June 9. Tickets go on sale Friday for €35 at [link]www.ticketmaster.ie[/link].

Not only does the Dublin songstress have a mesmerizing voice, she's also a good citizen. Former Lord Mayor Gerry Breen bestowed a Lord Mayor's Award upon May in June, calling her "a great ambassador for Dublin."

In September, May released More Mayhem, an addendum to third studio album Mayhem that includes a wonderful rendition of Patsy Cline's 'Walking After Midnight.' Watch her perform the song in 2008 below.
