Chicago proto-punks Alkaline Trio jet in for dates at the Limelight, Belfast (January 14th) and Temple Bar Music Centre, Dublin (20th).

Reflecting on their rather gloomy image, mainman Matt Skiba says: "We definitely like to write songs about darker things, but we like to think of it as a celebration of the evil ideas that run through everybody's head."

They come armed with a new album, From Here To Infirmary, which features ex-Smoking Popes sticksman Mike Felumlee.
