The creators behind the comedy cartoon are using dirty politics to secure an Emmy nod.
Head of the Family, Peter Griffin, is taking inspiration from head of the Republican Party, Donald Trump.

As the Emmy voting is about to start, this is the campaign poster Family Guy has cleverly devised. The show is competing to be in the race for the outstanding animated program. It's been 10 years since it secured an Emmy nod. Trump is an ideal figure for caricature comedy with his questionable tan and quiffed hairdo and has featured in many series like The Simpsons and South Park.
Emmy voting commences on June 13.
