Huartan to explore the creation of their debut album at Belfast’s Oh Yeah Music Centre
The Belfast-based group will speak to Stephen McCauley this Thursday, March 5.
Belfast tradtronica group Huartan will discuss the experience of making their debut self-titled record at Belfast’s Oh Yeah Music Centre this Thursday, March 5.
As part of the event Bonded, host Stephen McCauley will speak with the group as well as offer a listening event.
Huartan were the winners of Hot Press’s inaugural Amhrán na Laoch Irish Language Song Contest in 2024, among notable awards including the BBC Introducing NI Artist of the Year award.

Their debut album Huartan was rated a 9/10 by Hot Press, who called the band “a bold and exciting statement of intent from one of Ireland's brightest new outfits.”
In December 2025, the band talked to Hot Press and discussed reaching back to a pre-colonised Ireland, their support of Palestine, paganism and more.
