Hard Rock Rising's Global Battle Of The Bands

There's only five days to go if you fancy putting your band forward for Hard Rock Rising 2012 to potentially become the Irish representative in a Global Battle Of The Bands competition. The ultimate prize is a chance to play London's historic Hyde Park as part of the three-day Hard Rock Calling festival in July but there's a good way to go before that.

Once you've done that, from January 25 to February 5 that Facebook will be turned into a voting page, giving people the chance to download a song from their favourite band and cast their vote. The 12 bands with the most downloads will go on to play the Hard Rock Cafe Dublin during a local market battle from February 16, with a final four battling it out on March 15. The winners' take away $500, a $500 HRC gift voucher and a deluxe ReverbNation account ($220 value).

April will then open up global fan voting to select 10 acts from 86 countries, with the overall winner getting an all-expenses paid trip to that Hyde park gig.
