The Texas-based, Brooklyn-born troubadour carries on his Irish tour.
The anti-folk talisman, Hamell on Trial is currently in the throes of an Irish tour and will be taking to the stage in the intimate surrounds of Dublin's Workman's Club this evening, May 7.
Known for taking the a humorous slant on controversial and poignant subject matter, Hammel is one of the last great voices of descent in the American folk scene. More like a one-man punk band than a traditional folk-artists Hammels wild, impassioned and obscene live show is always a spectacle guaranteed to stimulate the brain and hips in equal measure.
Aside from this evening's Workman's date, Hammel will also be stopping by a range of the country's finer small venues.
