Gurriers on course for UK Albums Chart debut with Nobody's Coming To Save You

Following the release of their acclaimed second album on Friday, current Hot Press dual-cover stars Gurriers are on course to make their UK Albums Chart debut, with Nobody's Coming To Save You.

The album, released via London-based indie label Play It Again Sam, is currently at No.31, according to the Official Charts' midweek insights. It scored a strong review in Hot Press, with Edwin McFee describing it as "bigger in scope" than the Dublin-formed band's debut, and "bursting with raw ruminations on life and liberty."

Recorded between Donegal’s Attica Studios and Holy Mountain Studios in London, Nobody’s Coming To Save You was produced by IDLES' Mark Bowen and Loren Humphrey (Geese, Cameron Winter). The release follows Gurriers' stand-out performances on Later… with Jools Holland and KEXP, as well as arena support slots with Turnstile and KNEECAP.

Over the weeks and months ahead, Gurriers are set for an extensive tour of the UK, Ireland, and Europe.

Elsewhere on the UK's Official Albums Chart midweek update, KNEECAP's 2018 release 3CAG is heading for the Top 40, following its vinyl reissue. It is currently at No.36.
