The indie folk act play a set of live shows here over the coming week before embarking on a US tour at the end of May.
Having previously bagged a spot on a Starbucks/Hear Music sampler album along with Amy Winehouse, James Morrison and The Fratellis, the Dubliners continue to make inroads in the US with a full fledged tour, taking in over a dozen venues from Colorado to New Jersey. Ahead of that, the band play a series of Irish dates this month, kicking off this Thursday in Cork. Catch them at Cyprus Avenue, Cork (May 7); Roisin Dubh, Galway (8); Whelan's, Dublin (10) and Dolans, Limerick (14). Their planned appearance at the Passionfruit Theatre in Athlone on May 9 has been cancelled as the venue was forced to close.
