Grant-Lee Phillips announces Dublin show
Phillips will showcase his latest album, Little Moon at a one off Dublin show in November
Singer Grant-Lee Phillips has announced a November 8 show at The Sugar Club in Dublin.
Phillips found fame with Grant Lee Buffalo in the mid nineties, and since then has forged a successful solo career, releasing experimental/electronic influenced Mobilize in 2001, Strangelet in 2007, and latest album New Moon in October of last year.
This latest work was recorded in just four days, and features Phillips on guitar and vocals, Jamie Edwards on a battery of keyboard instruments, producer and bassist Paul Bryan, drummer Jay Bellerose (most recently heard on Alison Krauss and Robert Plant’s Raising Sand collaboration), and percussionist Sebastian Aymans.
Speaking on the album ahead of these upcoming dates, Phillips says, “I’ve been around the block so many times with the process of recording... this time out, I said 'I am going to feel very strongly about these songs, I am going to make sure that they can hold their own.'"
Tickets for the November gig are available from usual Ticketmaster outlets.
