Glen Campbell's Dublin date delayed
The singer's National Convention Centre date has been pushed back a week.
Glen Campbell’s Dublin show – originally scheduled for November 11 at the National Convention Centre – has been delayed by as week. It will now take place on November 19. The change in date is because of "unforseen US commitments."
All tickets purchased are still valid for the new date.
The November 19 concert will be Glen Campbell’s farewell Dublin appearance. He is suffering from Alzheimer's Disease, as a result of which he will be forced to retire.
During his career, Campbell has released more than 70 albums and sold 45 million records. Campbell made history by winning four Grammys in both country and pop categories in 1967. For 'Gentle on My Mind' he received two awards in Country & Western, while the legendary 'By the Time I Get to Phoenix' did the same in pop.
Among the dozens of other well known hits penned by Campbell are classics like 'Wichita Lineman', 'Galveston' and 'Rhinestone Cowboy'.
