Get That Monster Off The Stage tribute to Cork legend
Finbarr Donnelly will be remembered on June 18 in The Pavillion.
Los Langeros, Don For Chickens (a.k.a. Stump’s Mike Lynch) and John Spillane are among those paying tribute to local legend Finbarr Donnelly on June 18 in The Pavillion, Cork.
As a member of Nun Attax, Five Go Down To The Sea and Beethoven, Donnelly released such gems as Kaught At The Kampus, Him Goolie Goolie Man, Dem and Knot A Fish, which included the immortal ‘There’s A Fish On Top Of Shandon Swears He’s Elvis’, and shared a stage with the likes of U2, UB40 and The Virgin Prunes.
Tragically, he died 20 years ago while swimming in London’s Serpentine Pond, but is still fondly remembered by everyone who frequented the Arcadia Ballroom.
Admission to the Get That Monster Off The Stage extravaganza is €10.
