Garth holds out on top of the charts
The country star hasn't lost any favour in a week that also sees Ed Sheeran, Milky Chance and Ella Henderson sitting pretty.
This week's album charts didn't hold too many surprises as Garth Brooks came in on top with The Ultimate Hits. Ed Sheeran's new release X trailed in second, while his first album + also took a surprising boost, jumping from 20th spot to 4th.
Coldplay didn't fare as well this week, with Ghost Stories slipping from 4th to 7th. Arctic Monkeys' 2014 powerhouse AM crawled back into the top ten, while The Killers took 11th with their own greatest hits compilation, Direct Hits.
In singles, Ella Henderson's 'Ghost' made it to top of the pile, knocking Cheryl Cole's 'Crazy Stupid Love' off the top spot, with the previous chart-topper now in at 3.
This week also saw Pharrell's summer hit 'Happy' moving slowly out of the top 20, shifting from 18th to 19th. 'Sedated' by Hozier also took a slight dive, dropping from 3rd position to 20th.
Finally, if Ed Sheeran's two top-5 album entries weren't enough, he's also doing reasonably well in the singles charts, with 'Sing' having held steady in 12th for two weeks running.
