Gareth Donkin announces new album Extraordinary
Listen to ‘Out Here’ below.
London-based singer-songwriter and producer Gareth Donkin has announced his forthcoming album, Extraordinary, set to drop April 24 via drink sum wtr.
"I think part of getting older is navigating how to stand up for myself and recognise and acknowledge my self-worth and self-respect," said Donkin.
"I realised how much I'd been holding myself back. This album represents letting go of those limitations, surrounding myself with good people, and choosing to live fully."
Extraordinary features collaborations with various artists, including Kiefer, ESME, UHMEER, Shaan Ramaprasad, as well as Disclosure's Howard Lawrence.
The record follows Donkin's debut LP, Welcome Home, which was released in 2023.
Alongside the announcement, Donkin released the single ‘Out Here’.
‘Out Here’ is said to be a song that seeks sunny spur-of-the-moment adventure, that bridges the gap between 1970s soul and 2020s bedroom pop intimacy.
"When making this, I imagined walking out of the airport with sunglasses on, head bopping and feeling myself," said Donkin.
Donkin is known for laying multiple instruments, synths and details, operating as his own one-man band.
You can pre-order the album here.
