Future Kings of Spain embark on Irish tour next week
Fresh from their support gig with The Strokes at the weekend, the Dublin boys play eight headlining gigs around the country
Hot off the heels of their extraordinarily well-received gig in support of The Strokes on Sunday night, Future Kings of Spain round off a hectic year with an eight-date tour of Ireland.
The Dublin trio – now quartet, with the induction of Karl Hussey on guitar – cut short their 15-day UK jaunt to play the coveted Strokes support slot. Rolling along at whirlwind gig-a-day pace, the New World Disorder Tour was a joint effort with British bands Ludes and My Red Cell.
Hot Press journo, Danielle Brigham, went along for the Yorkshire leg of the tour and delivers a fly-on-wall account of the band’s shamelessly sybaritic exploits in the current issue of Hot Press.
The Kings’ Irish tour, which kicks off next week, takes in the following venues:
11 December
Katy Daly’s, Belfast
12 December
The Nerve Centre, Derry
13 December
The Spirit Store, December
17 December
The Half Moon, Cork
18 December
The Forum, Waterford
19 December
Cuba, Galway
20 December
The Zoo Club, Kilkenny
21 December
Whelan’s, Dublin
Tickets are available from venue box offices and Ticketmaster outlets nationwide.
