Alex Warren has announced his sophomore album WILDCHILD, set for release on August 28 via Atlantic records.
Alongside the announcement, Warren has released the lead single ‘PASSENGER’, written by himself and produced by Adam Yaron.
News of WILDCHILD follows Warren’s most recent singles ‘Fine Place To Die’ and ‘Fever Dream', and his 2025 debut album, You'll Be Alright, Kid, which has garnered over 9 billion streams to date, 5 iHeart Radio Awards, a 2025 MTV VMA for Best New Artist and Billboard’s Best New Artist of 2025.
“Growing up, my dad used to call me Wildchild so it’s always had a special meaning and I even have it tattooed on me,” says Warren about the record.
“Creating this album was really healing, therapeutic and a way for me to continue finding out more about myself.
“This album really shows where I am in my life today and compared to my first album which feels like a man who is broken, this one is a man who's trying to heal. It’s been really nice to be able to confront those feelings and also be able to share them with the world to give everyone a transparent view into my life.”
The Californian singer is currently on his Finding Family on the Road tour. As part of the tour, he played two shows at the 3Arena and one show at the SSE arena, Belfast last month.
“Warren brought the night to an electrifying close with an extended, five-minute rendition of ‘Ordinary,” said Hot Press in a live report of his 3Arena gig.
