Fred call it quits
The Trinity Street flag is flying at half-mast following the news that after 15 years and four albums, Cork pop perfectionists Fred are calling it a day.
"We’ve enjoyed our time making music together immensely but simply it's now time for us to move on,” reads a band communiqué. “We would like to thank all our fans, friends, families who have supported us over the years. We also offer a big thank you to all of the artists who we have had the pleasure of sharing stages with and the all of the venues who continue to promote live music."
Determined to go out with a bang, they’re lining up a final batch of dates that include Whelan’s, Dublin (December 5); De Barra’s, Clonakility (13); Roisin Dubh, Galway (15) and Pavilion, Cork (28) where, for the first time, every current and past member will share the stage.
