Francis Harris and Gareth Quinn Redmond announce new album Eyes Bright and Low
Alongside the announcement comes the release of ‘Wind with Wings’, the first single from the record.
Francis Harris and Gareth Quinn Redmond have announced a new album, Eyes Bright and Low, set for release October 16.
The album “blends acoustic and electronic instrumentation with both analogue and digital processing,” according to a press release. It also features guest vocals from Rachael Lavelle.
Alongside the announcement comes the release of ‘Wind with Wings’, the first single from the record.
The pair first began to work together after Harris came across Redmond’s debut album Laistigh Den Ghleo in 2019. Redmond then worked on Harris’ Thresholds. Shortly after, they discussed ideas for a record which then formed into Eyes Bright and Low over the course of three to four years.
The 7-track album will mark their debut record together.
Harris has been DJing for over 20 years and has almost 100 releases under different monikers. He released his debut electronic album, Leland, in 2013. His most recent single, ‘Too Much’, dropped in 2024 and prompted two additional remixes. He also co-founded the record label Scissor & Thread.
Irish ambient musician Quinn Redmond, meanwhile, is a member of the band Throwing Shapes and has collaborated with the likes of Albert Karch and C.R. Gillespie, in addition to his solo work. He first began recording instrumental pieces at home as a teenager and has been publicly releasing music for about eight years. In November of last year, he released his seventh album to date, Múscailte.
