Fairytale of New York voted No. 1 Christmas song
Voters put The Pogues' Yuletide favourite top of their list
It famously only reached No. 2 on the charts - denied the top spot by the Pet Shop Boys' 'Always on My Mind', but voters in a UK based poll have named 'Fairytale of New York' as the best Christmas song of all time.
The poll by Blinkbox Music saw the Pogues' classic - which featured the late Kirsty McColl - beat out competition from the likes of Mariah Carey and Wham! to grab top spot.
It follows recent figures which identified the song as the most played festive tune of last year.
