Euro 2020 to hit Irish shores

Dublin will have the privilege of hosting four games of Euro 2020.
The tournament will be spread across the continent to celebrate 60 years of the competition, and the Aviva Stadium will host three group games, along with one game in the round of 16.
UEFA's decision to award the fixtures to Dublin follows a long bidding effort by the FAI, and comes as a welcome boost to the association, the stadium, and the city. It's not so long, after all, since the Garth Brooks saga had people questioning the capital's ability to attract major events in the future.
DublinTown, the collective of 2,500 businesses in Dublin city centre, today welcomed the announcement; their CEO Richard Guiney praised the efforts of both the FAI and Dublin City Council in bringing the games to Ireland, and feels the announcement is an enormous stamp of approval for the city.
"It was pleasing to hear UEFA’s positive comments about Dublin’s transport system and the quality of our hospitality," Guiney said. "The businesses of DublinTown pledged their full support to the bid, and will deliver on that pledge by creating a welcoming environment for all visitors during the event."
Thirteen cities in all will host games in the tournament, with the semi-finals and final to be played at Wembley Stadium.
