Enya in new Japanese drama
A track from Enya's new album And Winter Came has been chosen to appear in a Japanese TV drama.
Enya has scored another prestige accolade in Japan, with the selection of her song 'Dreams Are More Precious' as the theme for Fuji TV's Japanese network drama Arifureta Kiseki. The first episode in the drama, which will attract huge audiences, airs this Thursday, January 8. 'Dreams Are More Precious' is taken from Enya's current album And Winter Came.
Enya has already made a number of key appearances on Japanese television. She starred in NTV's Happy Christmas Show, while NHK dispatched a film crew to Castle Leslie in Monaghan, to film Enya for the country's biggest New Year's Eve spectacular, Kohaku Uta Gassen. Throughout the 59 year history of the show only a handful of international artists have been invited to appear.
And Winter Came has already gone Top 3 in Japan, where Enya is one of the biggest selling international artists in an industry dominated by local Japanese language music.
