Halcyon is once again the one to beat.
Is there anything she can’t do?
Well, give up her number one crown seems to be one at the moment. Halcyon is once again reigning supreme at the top of the Irish Album charts, as Ellie Goulding gears up for her O2 headliner this Saturday.
Last week’s chart topper Damien Dempsey’s It’s All Good, The Best Of slips down to a respectable number four.
The top three is filled with the highest new entry at two, that would be the inimitable Beck with his latest Morning Phase, then Kodaline steady the rocky ship of chart life staying put at number three.
The other highest new entry goes to the lovely St. Vincent, who has been busy in Ireland this week, with her interview in the latest issue of Hot Press, her sold-out gig at the Olympia on Feb 22 and her album release, which enters the chart at number 6.
The biggest movers and shakers in the album chart go to some of the performers at the Brit Awards, who have seen substantial increases in their sales this week, acts such as Disclosure and Lorde have risen up a significant amount of places.
Garth Brooks watch continues, with the country man falling from 24 to 45.
In the singles chart, Clean bandit remain at the summit with ‘Rather Be’

The others in the top three are Pharrell at two with his anti-sadness song ‘Happy’ and a new entry by Tiesto at three with ‘Red Lights’
Other highest new entry goes to the returning Paloma Faith with a Pharrell production ‘Can’t Rely On You’ coming in at five.
Special mention goes to new entry Foxes at number six with ‘Let Go For Tonight’
The rise and fall of chart life is notable with songs such as Ellie Goulding’s ‘Goodness Gracious’ rising from 26 to 16. Whereas ‘One Day’ by Kodaline falls from 19 to 39. Win some lose some eh?
