Electric Lounge opens this weekend!
The new boutique venue will promote Ireland's art underground.
Located downstairs from the old Shebeen Chic on South Great George's Street, The Electric Lounge launches this Friday January 20 and is set to become one of the city's most exciting new live ventures . With a current capacity of 70, The Electric Lounge will not only cater for local musical acts of all genres but also art in general – you can expect comedy, spoken word, theatre, film nights and, according to those behind the venue, "anything else we can dream up".
A large part of the venture will involve giving the walls over to local artists and constantly providing a canvas for different artists. As well as that, beer is cheap with bottles of Brahma at €3 and pints of Fosters at €3.50, and you can also treat yourself to a 9" pizza. Admission on the first two nights is free.
It all kicks off Friday January 20. Click here for more details.
