Dropkick Murphys tell Republican senator "we hate you!"
Massachusetts punks Dropkick Murphys have not reacted well to Wisconsin's Republican Governor, Scott Walker, walking on stage at last weekend's Iowa Freedom Summit to the strains of their song, 'I'm Shipping Up To Boston'.
"Please stop using our music in anyway," they tweeted."We literally hate you! Love, Dropkick Murphys."
They'd previously chastised then-Wisconsin Assembly Speaker, Jeff Fitzgerald, for doing the same thing in 2012.
"The stupidity and irony of this is laughable," they fumed. "A Wisconsin Republican U.S. Senate candidate - and crony of anti-Union Governor Scott Walker - using a Dropkick Murphys song as an intro is like a white supremacist coming out to gangsta rap!"
The Pogues disciples play two Vicar St., Dublin shows on St. Patrick's Day before joining up with Ireland's very own Blood Or Whiskey and The Mahones for Celtic Punk Invasion dates in the UK.
