Don Henley announces Irish dates
The legendary Eagles man is coming to Cork & Dublin
Don Henley flies solo in Ireland for the first time since 2000 when he plays Cork Live At The Marquee (June 29) and Dublin’s 3Arena (July 1). Tickets go on sale on Friday April 8.
When not on Eagles duties, Henley has scored numerous hits in his own right with the likes of ‘Dirty Laundry’, ‘Heart Of The Matter’, ‘All She Wants To Do Is Dance’, and, swoon, ‘The Boys Of Summer’ all guaranteed to get an airing when he hits these shores.
Also expect a tribute to his fallen comrade Glenn Frey.
There’s also a new album, Cass County, to fawn over which finds Henley sharing the studio with Mick Jagger, Vince Gill, Merle Haggard, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Dolly Parton, Alison Krauss, Trisha Yearwood and more Music City royalty.
"The great majority of recording was done right here in Nashville and I can truthfully say that I enjoyed making this record more than any record I've made in my career,” the 67-year-old enthuses. “And a lot of the reason is because of the people who participated. There's some amazing musicians here and the best thing about it is, most of them are funny. So it was a real pleasure."
