Depeche Mode tickets fly
Tickets for the band's December show in The O2 went on sale this morning, with eager fans snapping them up by the thousand.
December may be a long time away, but Depeche Mode fans aren't hanging around. Tickets for the band's pre-Christmas O2 appearance went on sale this morning and over 6,000 tickets had been snapped up within the first 30 minutes.
"That's phenomenal business," Peter Aiken of Aiken Promotions told hotpress.com. "The album isn't out yet, so if the show isn't sold out before then, there'll be another surge. They're an amazing band, so I can see why there's such huge interest."
Depeche Mode are one of the most influential and artistically credible bands to have emerged from the electronic synth pop scene of the early '80s. Their album Sounds Of The Universe – their 12th studio outing – is scheduled for release on April 17, and already word of mouth about it is hugely positive.
The Dublin show takes place at The O2 on December 11.
