Denise Chaila to host RTÉ 2’s fifth season of Ireland In Music premiering tonight
The first episode will welcome David Lott as guest.
The fifth season of RTÉ 2’s Ireland In Music is set to be hosted by Denise Chaila. It will dedicate each episode to one artist.
Each episode will consist of private performances with Chaila as the only audience members, as well as interviews between the host and her guests.
Kicking off tonight, April 16 at 11.05pm on RTÉ 2, the first episode of the series will welcome David Kitt as guest, coming days after two sold out concerts in the National Concert Hall. Most recently, Kitt also released a 20th anniversary re-recording of his 2001 album The Big Romance, Kitsser’s Version.
Meanwhile, the second episode will focus on Wallis Bird, where she will present her 9th studio album I Can See Your House From Here, due out in June, while the third will welcome Ailbhe Reddy to the screen to explore her new record Kiss Big.
Other upcoming guests include Mundy, set to preview an album-in-progress and present a new track called ‘Childish Heart’, and blues-woman Muireann Bradley, who will offer surprising tales from her martial arts experiences. Meanwhile, the series will wrap up with Conor O’Brien, aka Villagers, who will give insights into his life and preoccupations.
Ireland In Music premieres on RTÉ 2 every Thursdays from April 16 at 11.05pm.
