Ailbhe Reddy has released a new single, ‘That Girl’, taken from her upcoming album KISS BIG.
The LP is set to drop on January 30, via Don Giovanni Records, the independent record label with which the artist signed earlier this year.
"This is one of the record’s emotional anchors," Reddy explained. "A study in how love shape over time — how we start seeing each other less tenderly, and forget what we once adored. Inspired partly by Fleishman Is in Trouble, it reflects on memory, time, and how impossible it is to stay the same person inside a long love.”
‘That Girl’ is the third track of the album to have been released, following ‘So Quickly, Baby’ and ‘Align’.
KISS BIG is Reddy’s third LP. Her debut album, Personal History (2020), was nominated for a Choice Music Prize, and her following record, Endless Affair (2023), was reviewed by Hot Press and rated a 9/10.
Described as a breakup record, it was written between Dublin, London, New York, and the American Midwest, and promises "a blend of an electronic palette with an organic warmth, which creates a messy tenderness", according to a statement.
“It’s about the aftershock of a breakup," said Reddy. "That liminal space where you’re equal parts sad, hopeful, terrified, and probably a bit delusional.”
The Dublin singer has upcoming live dates, which you can see below.
