Deis Roc returning to TG4

12 bands featured on the show's first series, which was ultimately won by Exit The Street, a five-piece rock outfit from Cork.

The series' producers are currently looking for new bands and solo artists from all around the country to enter the competition. 16 slots will be offered this year and artists from all genres are encouraged to apply. The overall winner will recieve a cash prize of €10,000.

The series will be recorded in Belfast in early December. The bands/artists to be featured on Deis Roc will be chosen by a panel of judges and announced on TG4 on November 12 2008.

Bands are asked to email [email protected] for an application form. At least one member of the band must be a good Irish speaker. Applications close on October 31.
